hmm... ok... so dland tells me I've been away for 57days...
I beg to differ... see, I figure May 18th is little under a month ago, therefore say 4 weeks, as opposed to the 8 dland thinks it's been... get it together dland, check the calendar!

aaaaaaaaaaanyways... it took longer to get back online cos the one provider I 1st went to messed up my order and somehow cancelled it... so I told them not to bother resettign the order and went elsewhere... of course this took extra time, but still, I got here eventually :)
but now I have some evening entertainment other than reading books and listening to cd's... so I'm happy again, and feeling suddenly much more settled
The flat is actually pretty superb... just the right size, not too big, not too small. And although the 2nd bedroom's a bit tiny, it makes a wonderful walk in wardrobe :) I get the morning sun in the bedroom too. The location's awesome too, a minutes walk from my door is the high street, next door is a pub, and I'm about 20mins wlak form work... really couldnt be any better for me.
the move was fun... driving actually went ok... made easier by having an automatic to drive, and a Chrysler Grand Voyager at that! I kinda want one of them now! lol
only real 'problem' is that there's no lift to the flat... so bringing everything in from the car to the flat was rather tiring. Andy, bless him he sweats at the slightest sign of heat, but he was swimming in sweat within minutes. Had a coupel of teething issues too, like the hot water pressure being too pants for a shower, and not having a washing machine... but all that's been sorted now. The finishing touches now woudl be a decent sized monitor (and a new box that runs at a decent speed) and a dining table... and they should all come over the next few months, depending on the money situation... the computer may have to wait the better part of a year yet :s providing my decrpit machine can hold out that long!

otherwise, the new job is going well... I'm enjoying it, everyone's friendly, there's a good fun atmosphere, and I'm enjoying the challenge of having to think again! :D
