you're expecting to spend the weekend with your partner
on the day you're travelling to them you recieve in the post a train ticket with a note in their handwriting - 'be on this train'
so on that train you get, and alight at the required stop. at the station a driver picks you up, hands you a key for your hotel room, and drives you to the hotel
the room is splendid, beautiful, luxurious... you find
- your partner waiting for you, or...
- a drink with another note saying something like 'drink, relax, then come find me in the bar"

I'm not sure which one to go for... see, when I have a job and am earning some money I want to be able to take Andy away for a weekend, a nice hotel, shopping, dinner in a posh restaurant... a proper hundreds of pounds blow out weekend
it'd be a belated birthday treat (as I cant actually afford to get him anything for his birthday in 10 days time), and a thank you for paying for stuff while I've not been working... I owe him a few hundred
not that it's a debt I feel I have to repay, I know he wouldnt have spent the money if he didnt want to or wasnt able to...
I just feel guilty he spends on me and I've not been able to do the same yet... so when I can, oh boy, I will

also, I'll be able to go visit my friends, and have a social life again... it is starting to really get to me that I cant afford to do anything at the moment...
but yeah, I'm feeling really positive about this one job... wont say much more til after next weeks assessment day now, but suffice to say the feedback from my phone interview was glowing... fungers crossed for next week...
